Arkansas Virtual School (ARVS) Student Wins State Championship in Reader’s Digest National Word Power Challenge

Levi Foster, an eighth grade student in the Arkansas Virtual School (ARVS), won the Arkansas state championship in the third annual Reader's Digest National Word Power Challenge in Little Rock on Friday, March 18, 2005.
With the win, Levi qualifies for an April 17-19 trip to Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida, to compete for $50,000 in college scholarships. The first place winner will receive a $25,000 college scholarship. Second and third place winners will receive college scholarships of $15,000 and $10,000.
Levi is also the winner of the 2005 Arkansas State Spelling Bee competition and will participate in the Scripps Howard National Spelling Bee competition to be held in Washington, D.C. on May 31 through June 2, 2005.
Levi is the son of Greg and Lori Foster of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
