HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 19, 2008--K12 Inc. (NYSE:LRN)
is announcing that a judgment has been entered by the Circuit Court of
Ozaukee County in Wisconsin, bringing to a close a lawsuit brought by
the Wisconsin Education Association against the Northern Ozaukee
School District and K12 Inc. for operating the Wisconsin Virtual
Academy (WIVA). In an order filed May 6, 2008, the Court stated that
the "parties and the Court agree that the recent enactment of Act 222
obviates the need for injunctive relief from this Court." The judgment
ensures the continued lawful operation and funding of WIVA.
Ron Packard, CEO and Founder of K12 Inc., said, "K12 is grateful
that this litigation is now over and that WIVA's resources can be
devoted to its teachers and students, rather than the expense of
defending this academically successful school."
