HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May. 13, 2009--
K12 Inc. is announcing a five-year partnership with Niobrara County
School District #1 to the be the curriculum and school services provider
to the Wyoming Virtual Academy (WYVA), the state’s first online public
school for students in kindergarten through high school.
The Niobrara County School Board approved the contract agreement on May
11, 2009. WYVA is open to families across the state and is currently
accepting applications for the 2009-2010 academic year. The school will
start classes in the Fall of 2009.
WYVA was approved by the Wyoming Department of Education through the
Wyoming Switchboard Network, which acts as the central collection of
distance education resources available to Wyoming students, parents,
instructors, school districts and distance education program providers.
