“Millions of American students and families benefit from the opportunity to find the best educational fit to suit their unique needs,” said Kevin Chavous, K12 President of Academics, Policy, and Schools. “We congratulate Damácia on her scholarship and for sharing her powerful story with others.”

In Damácia’s compelling video, the high school freshman shares her journey of being bullied in a traditional brick and mortar school and how enrolling at GCA, powered by K12, changed her life.

“School choice gives my family the freedom to choose the education option that works best for me, and for that I am forever grateful,” said Damácia.
